How to test your keyboard
This keyboard test shows a virtual keyboard that lights up every key your physical board sends, making dead, stuck or double-registering keys obvious in seconds. It is the quickest way to check a keyboard after a spill or a drop, and to document faults before requesting an RMA. Press keys one at a time, then try combinations to spot ghosting and check rollover. A few shortcuts are reserved by the operating system, so the browser never receives them — that is normal, not a fault.

FAQ
Why do some keys not light up?
First rule out software: shortcuts such as Windows key combinations or media keys can be intercepted by the operating system before the browser sees them. If an ordinary letter or number key stays dark after several presses, the switch or its connection is likely faulty.
What is keyboard ghosting?
Ghosting is when pressing several keys at once causes a key you did not press to register, or a pressed key to be missed. It comes from how basic keyboard matrices are wired. Hold three or four keys here to see where your board's limit is.
What does NKRO mean?
N-key rollover means the keyboard can register any number of simultaneous presses correctly. Cheaper boards often manage only two or three keys plus modifiers, which mainly matters for gaming — this test shows exactly how many your board handles.
Can this test fix a stuck key?
No — it only diagnoses. If a key registers constantly or repeats, the switch is stuck: power off, remove the keycap if possible and clean around the switch with isopropyl alcohol. If keys misbehave after a spill, the board may need professional cleaning or replacement.
