FAQ
What is a good typing speed?
Around 40 WPM is average for an adult. 60 to 80 WPM is considered fast, and professional typists often exceed 100 WPM.
How is WPM calculated?
We count every five typed characters as one word, then scale the total to a full minute. Errors are subtracted, which gives your net WPM.
Why does accuracy matter more than raw speed?
Fixing mistakes costs more time than typing carefully. Most people get faster overall by aiming for 97 percent accuracy first.
